It's been a long time. Emotional criseses (crises? what is it?), large projects due, etc, etc. I'll try to catch y'all up before more projects are piled on me:

The ex-friend of mine is now talking to me again- surprise, surprise. We've even (gasp!) had a few conversations. I'm trying to keep it as shallow as he wants it to be, being a good girl, etc. Beats avoiding him, at any rate. I'm not considering him my friend again, and I've learned my lesson on a lot of things- don't trust him in the mental state he's in (sigh). Though people seem to be fairly hopeful he'll be my friend again at some point- he is getting reinvolved with a lot of people/ activities he dropped, so who knows. Wish me luck.

My parents got me a scanner for my birthday, hopefully I'll have time to use it someday.

In school I recently finished both designing my first pair of pants (with zip-off legs and rainbow trim) and creating a wire and tissue paper sculpture of a mannequin in a dress. My creative nonfiction class is just a blast, and my first full-on essay (I'm working on revising it, then will show it off to you guys) was well received.

Housing: well, my parents forbid my keeping this house, so on to option...d? (I haven't been able to bring myself to hit up strangers to live with) The ex-friend told me about a girl who posted online that she was lookin for people to live with (doesn't have a place either), and suggested that I look for places to live in with her. So I e-mailed her...as of this writing (Tuesday) I'm going to meet her tomorrow and we'll see how that goes. I'm dearly hoping we get along or else it'll be a new mess.

Work: This is the best part, I get to keep my job longer! To quote my boss, I'm head and shoulders above the rest applying for summer internships, and therefore I get one of the four positions. In the summer, the paper has interns work full time hours for a month so they can see what the schedule's like, plus get to do news stories, cover other people's beats, and have more time to talk with people at work. So I'll be working a month (probably July) and summer schooling the next month. Still unpaid, but we'll see about that...this weekend I'm covering TWO news stories (my first) AND getting paid for them! Whee! I'm hoping this'll lead to me getting hired on for pay in the fall or later, as a lot of people are leaving then.
