I'm so embarrassed. Here I am, coproducer to this site, and not only do I forget to celebrate our first year anniversary, I forgot to upload everyone else's posts for Saturday! Whoops. I hope Jen-Jen will forgive me eventually. So. Happy anniversary, everybody! One year for the Elgonquin, over three years since the Spot closed its virtual doors and Spotfans Unplugged began! The ride's not over yet, so keep your seats and keep your hands inside the car at all times. It's hard to type if you don't have hands. Looking over my posts from the last year (and reloading one that somehow got lost), I find I did a lot of teaching in my entries this year. Whether I was learning about irrigation or trees, I enjoyed learning about them enough to want to share the fun with all of you. Then there were the travelogues: Vancouver, Yosemite, and everyone's favorite destination: Nebraska. I hope reading them didn't feel like you were forced to watch someone's vacation slides for an evening. For me, four of my posts really stood out, either because they recorded an important event in the year or because they were introspections into where I was in past years. (I can't even narrow it down to two, Jen!) Chronologically, the four biggies were:
