Is the value of a person's life measured by dollars and cents, by its impact on the Gross National Product? Is it measured by its conformity to the expectations of the surrounding society? Or is it measured by the impact that they have on other lives around them, like ripples in the water? Or is there something more? |

Mark David Addisen has invested his life in the idea that the value of each life around him is measured in the same way any other resource in the firm of Integrated Financial Solutions is measured, on a spreadsheet on his desktop. Each of the other people around him have chosen their own ways, as well. But, in "Counting Lives", each of them will have to come to terms with what they believe. They will each have to answer the question, "How do you measure the value of a life?" |
