By the time I got to SpotFest!

One night in February of '95, I woke up and scribbled down the words "The Spot – a virtual hangout." Three years later the spirit of the dream where I first saw spots before my eyes lives on through the wonderful group of people who call themselves Spot fans. SpotFest III was filled with warm reminiscence, new friendships, and a feeling of momentum for our culture. In addition to the turn out of the core fan base, I was also blown away by the turn out of Spotmate cast members. Thanks to Harry for lending his home and surf & turf to the gathering. And a special thanks to all the Spot fans for keeping the dream of interactive entertainment alive through their efforts on spotfans.com and the tide.com. I vow that in some incarnation I will return to try and evolve the medium once again. I'm so happy and proud to see that the "hangout" turned out to be more then just virtual, but an actual community.
